Designer Zeynep Dag to win first Dutch Lion Fashion Accessories Award

On April 2, the first edition of the Dutch Lion Awards Gala took place, the Netherlands' own Fashion Award Gala. During the gala, there were several fashion shows by national designers and five awards were presented, including Dutch Accessories Designer of the Year. This was won by shoe designer Zeynep Dag, founder of Alzúarr.

Alzúarr quickly found international recognition through collaborations with world stars such as Rihanna and Beyonce. With her brand, shoe designer is known for her unique combination of modern designs, art, creativity and luxury materials that give women around the world strength and confidence. For this, Zeynep Dag received the Dutch Accessories Designer of the Year from Dutch shoe-designer Jan Jansen. In addition to the Dutch Lion Award, Zeynep Dag also has Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 and the Communications Award 2019 under her belt.

The Dutch Lion Awards Gala is designed to strengthen the international position of the Netherlands within the fashion industry. In addition, it aims to give top designers and emerging fashion talents a platform on a national level. Other winners during the gala included Kim Veenstra for Model of the Year, and David Laport for Designer of the Year.
